There is no file to download: the tutorial can be found here: [link] .

IT IS RECOMMENDED FOR PAINTERS. If you do not feel comfortable wielding a brush, this is not for you!!
I just felt I needed to warn you...
:w00t: My first tutorial! I know most of you guys want a tutorial on hair, but it's so LONG TO MAKE! This eye tutorial was done in a quickie. :XD:

I decided to put it in html format since I have enough bandwidth, and I thought it would have easier/faster access. It's also very bland-looking, so it should be printer-friendly. (although, there might be some problems with margins, so notify me if it's an issue) If people want to be able to download and have it on their computer, I can definitely zip the file and put it up.

Here are some quick general tips on painting eyes. It's good to read them before tackling the tutorial.

and last thing:

If anyone needs help/advice on which colours to use, comment here and I will be more than happy to give feedback.

what kind of material did you use for your doll?

For this one in particular for the tutorial, I was painting on cotton broadcloth.

Would they carry that in most fabric stores like Joann Fabrics or Hobby Lobby? I'm not sure if you have those stores in Canada, I've never been there. If not any suggestions?

We don't have those stores in Canada, but they should carry it cuz it's a common fabric. The only problem is finding the right skintone to suit your project.
Another option is 'deersuede' which is a bit fuzzy and a little harder to paint on, but it's a nice fabric. I buy it online; here's a list of ressources (just scroll down to the online shops): [link]
